Our Services
We are proud to provide a diverse range of services to meet your pet’s needs.
Munford Animal Hospital
Having a pet as part of the family is something truly special. They are there for us through good times and bad, ever ready to make us smile and feel loved. In return, they deserve to be cared for in the best possible way!
Our animal hospital provides high-quality preventative, diagnostic, and surgical care to small animals. We tailor our services to your pet’s needs to ensure they receive the most suitable care.
What We Offer
Preventative Care
The best way to maintain your pet’s health and wellbeing is to build strong foundations. Our wide range of preventative care and early disease detection methods includes options such as physical examinations, heartworm tests, intestinal parasite exams, and full panel blood work. Ask us about our NEW PETLY Preventive Care Plans during your appointment.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations against contagious and deadly diseases such as rabies, parvovirus, leptospirosis, distemper, Bordetella, feline leukemia and panleukopenia are important to protect your pet’s health. We will discuss with you what your pet needs and ensure they remain up to date.
Laser Surgery
We perform laser surgery as a method for safe and less painful treatment for suitable conditions. We are proud to offer this advanced and progressive method of animal care.
Boarding
When your pet comes to stay with us, you can rest assured that they will be showered with love and attention. Our full-time kennel staff are experienced in providing care for all animal boarders to a high standard. To make a boarding reservation, complete our boarding form or call us today.
Digital Radiology
We offer in-house digital radiology, which means we can reduce waiting times and extra costs. Digital x-rays allow us to obtain clear images while exposing your pet to less radiation than traditional methods.
In-House Lab
Having our own laboratory means we obtain test results in a fast manner, greatly reducing the time you must wait. This can decrease your stress and bring about prompt action when required.
Ultrasound
Ultrasounds allow our doctors to examine soft tissue in greater detail. We often use this scanning method to visualize organs such as the spleen, liver, kidneys, urinary bladder, heart, and unborn puppies and kittens.
Dental Care
Keeping an animal’s teeth clean is notoriously difficult. This means that oral health issues are common. We can assess your pet’s teeth, provide preventative resources and education, and undertake treatment when necessary.
Parasite Prevention
A wide variety of parasites exist undetected in the environment. Many of these parasites can use pets as hosts, and they may transfer to you and your family.
We offer intestinal parasite checks and heartworm tests with our annual vaccination plans and will deal with any concerns you have at anytime.
We will also provide education regarding what to look for if your pet is affected and how to respond.
Kitten Care
Having a new kitten is exciting. It is also a huge responsibility. We will support you as you learn what is required to give your kitten the best possible start in life and to maintain their health and happiness long into the future. It is also highly beneficial if we get to know your kitten when they are young so that we truly understand them and their needs. This enables us to establish a relationship of trust early on so that they are more comfortable when they visit us. We also love to watch them grow!
Puppy Care
Understanding what your new puppy requires is a fundamental part of pet ownership. They depend on you. We are here to share our knowledge and support you as you learn. Establishing a relationship with a vet early in your puppy’s life is a great way to build trust; it reduces the risk of future vet-related anxiety. Give your puppy the best start in life and book an appointment today.
Senior Care
High-quality, thorough care is crucial throughout your life. Just like us, as our pets age, health needs and risks change, which means personalized, relevant care is required. Certain illnesses such as kidney disease, heart disease, thyroid abnormalities, diabetes, liver dysfunction, and arthritis become more likely as animal age. Our focus is to identify an issue in its early stages and treat these before the disease progresses.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy can help with certain conditions such as arthritis, soft tissue injuries, and wound healing. This form of treatment can be an effective, pain-free option to ease a pet’s pain and inflammation.
Nutritional Counselling
Your pet’s food should provide a complete and balanced range of essential nutrients suitable for them and be something they enjoy. Our doctors highly recommend the Hills Science Diet range.
General Veterinary Care
We encourage bringing your pet in for a visit even when they are well to help maintain their health and wellbeing for as long as possible.
